Due to some local and international breeding of hybrid flowerhorn, I have decided to documents my breeding of flowerhorn. A various strain have occurred by many breeders and resulting very promising results of flowerhorn. A pearly crossbreed from texas cichlids and vieja to come out with kamfa or king kamfa. Now a days most of the hobbyist are formulating of their own pellet food by adding some crude protein , spirulina and etc. Other just maintain feeding them by very known Okiko product like platinum for fast growth of head (kok).
Traceability for strain of your fish are important, when time your fish get breed, expect your f1 will show so many pearly patterns or intense redness that has not resemble exactly as their parents. Some wonder why they have molted and you have a result of FADER. It's actually the genes of the F0 so crossbreeding and inbreeding are chances of the breeders to have a signature strain of fish.
Flowerhorn are mix breed with most central American cichlids. Origin of these fish are actually came out on my research is parrot fish in sea (youtube). They we're actually trap on the lakes,swamps and by adaptation of habitat, these fish became a fresh water fish. Most of the researchers are wandering how these beautiful fish mutated from flat or round body shape to coloration. These fish have one common pattern when they are stress. Even cryptoheros , labiatus have same stress patterns.
Pyro trimac are the results of early flowerhorn but not by humans, its by nature unguided. Kok or head are crossbreed by midas or labiatus.
